“Moderate to heavy snow will overspread the region this evening from southwest to northeast with the onset of the heavier snow likely to be rather sudden. So while there may be some spotty light snow or flurries ahead of the main batch of snow, persons traveling this evening should be prepared to encounter a rapid deterioration in conditions as the heavier snow arrives. Snowfall rates could exceed an inch per hour at times later this evening into the first part of the overnight hours once the heavier snow arrives.”
